The difference between blue light and ultraviolet ray is mainly reflected in the difference of wavelength and source.
Blue light is the visible light with a wavelength between 380nm and 530nm. With short waves and high energy, blue light can directly penetrate the lens and reach the macular area of the eye, which is an important factor leading to macular lesion and visual fatigue. Of course, not all blue light is harmful. The wavelength of 415nm ~ 455nm is harmful blue light that needs to be blocked, while the wavelength of 465nm ~ 495nm is beneficial blue light, which is an indispensable part of life.
How to protect against blue light:
1. If you work at night or need to use a lot of electronic products in your daily work, wearing anti-blue light lenses can effectively prevent the damage caused by blue light to your eyes; Regular anti-blue ray lenses are made by adding special film material on the lens surface to effectively prevent the harmful blue ray of 415 ~ 455nm from passing through on the basis of maintaining high light transmittance
2. Avoid computer and smartphone screens 2-3 hours before bed.
3. Increasing daylight during the day can improve the quality of sleep at night and improve mood.
